Removal of the masonry pillar in the front wall of the apartment house

This thesis focuses on the removal of the masonry pillar from the front wall of an apartment house. The masonry pillar should be replaced with two steel columns in a given axis distance. The parts of the thesis are a technical report, a static calculation and a graphic documentation. The description of the current object and the proposed solution is included within the technical report. The static calculation deals with a calculation of the strain and the enhancement of the current ferroconcrete lintel on the ground and first floor. A proposal of the solution, which is determined by the static calculation, is evident from the graphic documentary.

This diploma thesis deals with the design and assessment of the steel structure of the administrative building. The building is situated in Svitavy. The construction has several floors, the ground plan is L-shaped. Other floors have a rectangular ground plan. The external ground plan dimensions of the building are 55.2 m × 72 m. The building has terraces and three height levels occupied. At the first height level the building reaches 5 floors, the other 7 floors and the top 9 floors. the main material will be S235 steel on the construction.

Presented Bachelors thesis is focused on threaded joints in engineering. There is listed simple determination of theses joints in the first part of the thesis as well as the type determinations, sample of practical use and type of the load. In the second part, are specifically described some screw joints used on compaction rollers, produced and developed in Ammann CZ company, which is located in Nové Město nad Metují and produce these rollers since 1953.
